Each phase produces verifiable, accessible, and reusable content: stories, images, podcasts, comics, maps, videos, and tools designed for European communities.
Originated in Borgo a Mozzano (IT) and replicated in Spain with an adapted architecture, the project develops in three phases: co-creation and pre-festival, a three-day festival, and finally post-festival consolidation and legacy.
Pre-festival: during this phase, youth groups and workshops (writing, comics, night photography, podcasts) produce original works and documentation; the participatory "Archive of Shadows" (digital archive plus physical collection point) is launched; a geo-referenced Mystery Map with QR-coded locations and clues is prepared.
Festival: visit of the Spanish youth delegation, Italy–Spain opening on the Crime & Mystery theme, preview exhibition of the Archive, and "mystery walk" through identity locations (e.g., Devil's Bridge, archives, squares). Production and city game: brief meetings with guest authors, children's workshops, and a civic Treasure Hunt; evening readings and music. Restitution: youth showcase (podcasts, comic strips, videos), public presentation of the Mystery Map with thematic routes.
Post-festival: complete publication of the Archive under an open license, traveling exhibition, podcast series, KPI report, and a practical replication toolkit.
